Master of Psychology: Late admissions for PTH stream Fall 2025

Requirements

Adler has a few spaces remaining in our Fall 2025 MPsy Psychotherapy & Counselling stream intake, so we are opening up a round of late applications!

In order to apply, you must:

Due to the tight timeline, we will be assessing applications on a rolling basis for this intake, so the earlier you submit your application, the more quickly it will be reviewed.

Steps to apply

Note: many of these steps can be done in any order, this is just a general overview!

Step 1: Determine if the Psychotherapy stream is right for you

Review the differences between the Psychotherapy and the Clinical Psychology stream, to ensure that the Psychotherapy stream would be the best choice for you. The Psychotherapy stream prepares students to register as a psychotherapist, but does not allow students to register with the College of Psychologists, and does not qualify for admission to the PsyD. You cannot change streams after being admitted. If you have any questions about whether the Psychotherapy stream is the right choice for you, don’t hesitate to email me or book a phone call here.

Step 2: Book your Casper assessment for July 20th

The Casper 2 assessment is offered through Acuity Insights. Book your Casper here!

Before you take the assessment, we recommend completing a practice test here.

More information about the Casper and other admissions requirements is available here.

Step 3: Request your transcripts

It’s good to request your transcripts early. Your transcripts must be sent directly from your institution to admissions@adler.ca.

If your degree is international, your credentials must be evaluated by the World Education Services (WES) or Comparative Education Services (CES). We recommend beginning this process early, as it can take several weeks.

More information about submitting your transcripts and international credential evaluation reports is available here.

Step 4: Secure your three references

You must have three, arm’s-length referees for your application. Your references do not need to provide letters. You will provide their contact information on your application form, and we will reach out to them directly by email to complete a standardized form.

More information about references is available here.

Step 5: Write your statement of intent and CV/resume

You will upload both documents to your application form. Please review the SOI requirements carefully before writing. More information about the statement of intent and CV/resume is available here.

Step 6: Submit your application form

Submit a declare interest form to be taken to the application page. There is an $85 CAD application fee due upon submitting the application form.

Within two business days of submitting your application, your references will be contacted by email with the reference form to complete. We recommend following up with your references to ensure that they received and completed the form.

We encourage you to reach out to admissions@adler.ca to check in on the status of your application at any time throughout the admissions process.

Once all of your documentation has been received, you will get an email from the admissions office confirming that your application is complete.
